TEACHERS
Tracy Stoner, Teacher
Tracy initially came to yoga for the purely physical work-out experience it provided, and then soon realized there was much more to yoga than meets the eye. She discovered this ancient system of exercise that integrates mind, body and spirit was beginning to help release the stress and tension in her daily life and relationships as well as make her body strong and flexible. For Tracy, the past six years practicing yoga has been a transforming and life-changing experience. She decided to follow her passion, and enrolled in teacher training at Cityoga, where she earned her certificate in 2009. She is now registered as a RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance. She then completed The Yoga Center Teacher Training and began teaching there in July 2010. She has been blessed to have been taught by many great teachers and she hopes to pass this wisdom on to her students with great love and honor. Tracy encourages and supports her students to work hard and come prepared to sweat. She wants students to stay fully focused on their breath, keeping them in the present moment so that they can experience and become more aware of the mind, body, spirit connection, hopefully giving way to a deeper internal experience of their authentic self. In her slow vinyasa style and TYC short form Ashtanga classes she hopes to empower and inspire her students as she herself has been, and ultimately create the environment for them to feel the effects of a harmoniously balanced and calmed self. Her practice continues to evolve daily. Tracy is a wife and mother, raising five children and two dogs. She invites everyone to begin as they are and join her on the journey towards good health and well-being.
