The Yin Yoga Workshop Heather taught today at Clay Terrace was Awesome! It was 90 minutes of some seriously deep tissue work and great discussion. It was work, this runner’s tight hips desperately needed, plus, I thought it was enlightening to look at a deeper dimension of Yoga beyond the physical poses. Also, I brought a friend who had only taken a few Yoga classes last year and was wanting to get back into it, he thought it was a very good experience, enjoyed really feeling the poses (which we held anywhere from 2 – 8 minutes), he liked the mentally calming quality of it and he said the workshop took some of the mystery out of yoga for him, he will be back. I personally look forward to digging into Paul Grillley’s book Yin Yoga outline of a quiet practice, which was available for purchase after the workshop, thanks Heather & TYC.
